Siegel Art of Photography

Siegel Art photography started over 50 years ago when my father and I spent many hours in the pursuit of perfect photographs. We had a Leica camera, a mini Minolta and even a Yashica Reflex to work with. I learned how to work the chemicals and time everything from making the negatives to print making. We even had an enlarger!

My first real efforts at Siegel photography as art was timed with my leaving the USA for North Africa before I was 20. What a wonderful experience.

Before I was thirty I had traveled to over 100 nations, spoke 5 languages, and had traversed most of the trails of Marco Polo. One of life’s goals accomplished.

I am happy to present many pictures from many decades of those travels, and perhaps a story or two as I go along. I am writing a book with many of the experiences life has produced for me.

As the photos post here you are reminded that use of all works on this site are copyright and you must contact us to get a license to use them. Quality images are available as all photos here have been reduced to work well on the Internet.
